Support the export positive transition by supplying KRW 55.8 trillion in trade finance in the middle of this year
Korea Trade Insurance Corporation visited defense companies to check the K-defense export situation and listen to its voices from the field.
On the 19th, Lee In-ho, CEO of K-SURE, held an event called 'Visit CEO at export site' at the YoungPoong Electronics business site, a small and medium-sized company that manufactures the electronic controllers for the defense industry, in Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.
This visit was prepared to listen to the difficulties faced by the industrial field as part of K-SURE's efforts to strengthen support for small and medium-sized enterprises in the defense industry following the signing of a business agreement with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration and the launch of a partner guarantee.
YoungPoong Electronics, established in 1986, is an innovative defense company that has been manufacturing ground, air, and guided weapons defense equipment through independent research and development for 37 years and is collaborating with large company such as Hanwha Aerospace.
In July of this year, K-SURE launched the 'Export Partner Guarantee' to respond to the increase in global defense demand and support domestic defense export competitiveness, laying the foundation for many small and medium-sized partners participating in defense industry order projects to easily receive liquidity support.
K-SURE explained that he is holding a briefing session on the export partner guarantee support project for partners of large defense companies and that he is supporting large and small businesses to coexist and pioneer the global market through timely financial support.
Meanwhile, K-SURE provided a total of KRW 55.8 trillion in trade finance to exporting small and medium-sized companies as of last month, which is 12.1% more than the previous year, helping our small and medium-sized companies overcome the aftermath of the global economic slowdown and play a leading role in the export positive transition.
Lee In-ho, CEO of K-SURE, said, “At a time when the presence of our defense industry is growing overseas, it is meaningful to listen to the voices of the industry and discuss ways to support a coexistence ecosystem for the defense industry. and "We will work harder to create a win-win ecosystem where small and medium-sized companies grow together,” he said.
